Niels Møller

Niels Møller, born in 1920 in Denmark, is renowned for his exceptional craftsmanship and minimalist approach to Mid-Century Modern furniture design. Trained as a cabinetmaker, Møller’s deep understanding of wood became central to his design philosophy. In 1949, he founded J.L. Møller Møbelfabrik, a company that would become known for producing high-quality Danish modern furniture. His designs are celebrated for their sleek lines, functional form, and attention to detail, often incorporating fine woods like teak and rosewood. Møller's work prioritized both beauty and comfort, creating pieces that were as practical as they were visually appealing.

Among Møller’s most iconic designs is the "Model 71" dining chair, recognized for its refined proportions and ergonomic form. Its gently curved backrest and lightweight frame are hallmarks of Møller’s ability to merge style with comfort. Other sought-after pieces include the "Model 55" armchair and the "Model 78" lounge chair, both cherished for their timeless design and impeccable craftsmanship.
