The solid Burmese Teak frames have been hand-sanded and refinished, giving these ubiquitous chairs a sense of definition and character. With that said there are some repairs made such as two crack repairs and broken leg that had to be doweled (all of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). These repairs are subtle and professionally conducted and do not detract from the utter beauty of this expansive set.
The seats have been re-strapped and reupholstered in a rich, thick-cut genuine Italian leather hide in a fabulous hazelnut brown tone perfectly off-setting the natural wood tones of the solid teak frames.
This bespoke, custom-designed and hand-restored set is incredibly comfortable, structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use.
