About: Introducing an expansive set of six Model OD-61 counter-height barstools designed by the influential Erik Buch for the lauded Odense Møbelfabrik. Recently undergoing a comprehensive restoration process this exceptional set features new Italian leather upholstery in a rich cognac tone and hand-sanded frames left unfinished for a rustic, natural feel that perfectly off-sets the warm tones of the leather seats.
Erik Buck (1923-1982) had over 30 commercially successful production designs over his career but none so famous as his Model 61 Bar stool designed in 1961 and formerly manufactured by Oddense Maskinsnedkeri A/S. His Model 49 dining chairs designed in 1949 saw equally impressive popularity and could be found in homes around the world and both models are still in production today by Danish cabinet makers.
Iconic and instantly recognizable these exquisite stools are the epitome of Danish Modern Design but offer a truly extraordinary new take on the classic design with raw, unfinished teak, warm cognac Italian leather and medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity. Condition Details: This extraordinary set of Model OD-61 counter height bar stools designed by Erik Buch for O.D. Mobler have recently undergone a comprehensive and transformative restoration process and the results speak for themselves. The solid Burmese teak frames have been hand-sanded and left unfinished to give a rustic and understated look to the classic design and show no scratches, gouges or stains whatsoever. Finished only with all-natural wax the woodgrains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light.
The seats feature new leather upholstery cut from a single, genuine Italian leather hide and show only the wear of a once-living animal (ranch brands and scars etc.). The foam has been replaced with medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity.
This truly one-of-a-kind set of OD-61 barstools is incredibly comfortable, structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use thanks to their exhaustive restoration process. You may pickup your order from our ABT Modern Deland Warehouse located at 1755 Lexington Ave., Unit B., Deland, FL 32724. Our pickup hours are Monday through Friday (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) except for holidays. We ask that you schedule your pickup 24 hours in advance so that we can have your purchase(s) pulled and ready for pickup. Please feel free to contact us at josh@abtmodern.com or call 386-232-8781 prior to checkout if you have any S&H questions specific to your order that haven’t already been clarified. If you select this method and checkout without having obtained a pre-authorized S&H quote, you will receive a secondary invoice to cover any S&H charges in the instance that ABT Modern is coordinating the shipment on your behalf for your order.

Smaller Items – Smaller items will be professionally packaged, fully insured and shipped via ground shipment via FedEx or ground carrier.
Larger Items – Larger items will be shipped via a blanket wrap S&H service with delivery to the curb of your delivery location. Each item(s) will be insured up to $1000 to cover any potential repairs from potential damage sustained in transit. Additional insurance can be added at $35 per $1000 and must be paid prior to checkout. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to accommodate the delivery company at the point of delivery. If you fail to accommodate the delivery company’s scheduled delivery time slot, your order may require a secondary S&H charge as storage fees and additional delivery attempt(s) are not covered in this shipping quote.
PREMIUM S&H
Smaller Items – Smaller items will be professionally packaged, fully insured and shipped via a ground shipment via FedEx or ground carrier and require signature confirmation at delivery. After a failed delivery attempt(s) by the carrier, you may be required to pick up your package from a designated pickup location.
Larger Items – Larger items will be shipped via a white glove carrier with delivery and placement services. Each item(s) will be insured up to $1000 to cover any potential repairs from potential damage sustained in transit. Additional insurance can be added at $35 per $1000 paid prior to be paid prior to checkout. It will be your responsibility to accommodate the delivery company at the point of delivery. If you are unable to accommodate the delivery company at the initial delivery attempt you will have up to 30 days to reschedule delivery with free storage. After 30 days, storage fees will be assessed as determined by the third party storage facility or shipper’s storage facility. If your building requires a certificate of insurance, there is an additional $150.
