Condition Details: This striking sideboard has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration process. The mix of solid and veneered Burmese teak has been entirely hand-sanded and refinished with only subtle signs of wear remaining such scratches and chips too deep to be sanded out entirely as well as small veneer burns (all shown in the detail photos provided).
With that said the teak composition is in overall very good condition and the variegated woodgrains of the hardwood are absolutely stunning in natural light. All four drawers open and close with ease as do the two sliding doors. All (5) shelves are adjustable. Originally the piece included three drawers that were hung on the inside of the left side of the cabinet. They've been lost to time and serve well as holders for shelves as seen in the detail photos provided.
