Originally built in the early 1960's in post-war west Germany this minimalist desk has undergone a comprehensive and transformative restoration process that features a genuine leather hide desk top as well as a custom-milled edge banding cut from a solid slab of sustainably sourced honey oak.

The desk top has been recovered in an Italian genuine leather hide. The hide is thick-cut assuring durability and longevity and the rich hazel-tone perfectly offsets the warm honey oak woodgrains which are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light.

Condition Details: This extraordinary executive desk has recently undergone a comprehensive and transformative restoration process and the results speak for themselves! The honey oak veneer has been hand-sanded and refinished with only minor signs of wear remaining such as minor veneer repairs, scratches (shown clearly in the detail photos provided). With that said there are no other stains or other signs of damage whatsoever and variegated woodgrains unique to the European oak species are absolutely stunning in natural light.
All six drawers open and close with ease and feature a pull out writing space with a finished wood surface. The keys have been lost to time but new keys can be cut and or locks replaced at cost if desired. The genuine leather hide desk top is in new, never-used condition and shows only the wear of a once living animal (scars and ranch brands etc) and shown in the natural light video. The metal legs have been repainted with an automotive-grade polyurethane paint and show only old, repaired pitting underneath.
This desk is highly functional, structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use thanks to it's recent restoration.
