Designed by Mel Abitz in 1956, this model #800 chair soon became a hit and was produced by Galloway's for 15 years before it was ever altered. This chair, clearly, was designed with comfort top of mind and to this day it is revered for it's unmatched comfortability. Condition Details: This exceptional chair and ottoman set has recently undergone a partial restoration featuring new vinyl upholstery. The solid walnut frames are in 100% original, vintage condition and have aged to perfection showing no scratches, gouges or stains whatsoever. Both chair and ottoman have been re-upholstered in a thick-cut, black vinyl very close in complexion to the original materials. The only issue with this this iconic set is a small bend in the seat frame that can only be spotted from looking down at the chair from behind.
