About: The sensuous Kandidaten sofa was designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Olof Person (OPE) in 1962. Constructed from afrormosia with tapered legs, a slat back, and eye catching long bow shaped armrests. The sofa is an exceptional time capsule piece in most respects. The the original seat supports are still intact, comfortable and structurally sound. The previous owner had the cushions recently reupholstered in a quality knit fabric as pictured. The cushions are lightly aged. The frame has been newly oiled. Note: 3 sofas are available at the initial time of this listing. Each piece is sold individually.

Condition Details: This expertly-designed and crafted sofa has recently undergone a partial restoration which features newly upholstered cushions in an eye-catching forest green knit fabric. The solid teak frame is in near 100% original condition save for a repair made to the back seat frame which can be seen, albeit hardly, in the photos provided. There are a few small nicks and minor scratches but no gouges or other damage visible and the wood grain is truly stunning in natural light. The original straps are still intact and weight-bearing. The cushions are in showroom condition and show no stains, odors or rips whatsoever and feature new medium-density foam for maximum comfort.
