About: Introducing a captivating custom-made floor lamp constructed from a base of solid black walnut and atop a frame of hand-worked brass. Featuring a functional foot switch and two light sockets, re-wired by our craftsmen to fit standard light bulbs, this eye-catching floor lamp is ideal for designers and collectors alike searching for a truly one-of-a-kind lighting fixture that can blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from Atomic to Art Deco to Industrial and everything in between.

The lamp shades, custom made and sewn from paper-like fiberglass, add yet more character and capture the viewers' eye from every angle. The brass upright risers, supporting two-tone geometric shapes cut from solid black walnut, add to an altogether fascinating amalgamation of design elements from industrial to space age and harkens back to the 1950s almost instinctively. Condition Details: This extraordinary floor lamp has recently undergone a partial restoration. The solid walnut base and accent pieces have been hand-sanded and refinished with new clearcoat as was originally produced in the 1950s. Some minor scratches remain on the base, the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided.

The solid brass frame is in original condition and shows some tarnishing (shown in the detail photos provided) but remains in overall very good shape. The fiber-glass lamp shades too are in very good original condition showing no tears or other signs of damage whatsoever.

The wiring has been completely redone with new, standard-sized sockets installed for ease of use and safety. The original foot switch functions exactly as it should and the lamp comes with the two halogen bulbs seen in the photos.

This captivating floor lamp is functional, structurally solid and ready for a lifetime more of use thanks to it's recent restoration process.
