About: Introducing a signed, original set of matching oil on canvas paintings by the accomplished African American painter Fred Blassingham. Best known for his iconic abstract jazz paintings in the 1990's, Blassingham's body of work is best known for his portrayal of tribal African or African American culture featuring bold colors and depictions of African markets replete with colorful produce and glossy jazz instruments.

However this set of matching paintings shows an altogether different approach featuring geometric shapes and heavy texturing throughout very much in the manner of painters such as Keith Mallett with his typical affinity for muted pastels mixed boldly with airbrushed tones of black and gold. Featuring custom-made frames ready for hanging this alluring pair is the perfect addition to any collection especially those who have an affinity for the field of geometric abstraction.
