Condition Details: Save for a few touchups this iconic "Scoop" Chair designed by the incomparable Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin is in original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The original woolen, heavy-knit plaid fabric is in stunning original shape showing no stains, tears or odors whatsoever and had been meticulously cared for by it's only owner since purchasing in the late 1950s.

The seat back shows only a minor bend (which can be seen, if slightly, in the detail photos provided) but does not effect the sitting position or experience and the backrest is structurally sound and weightbearing. The wrought iron legs have had the paint touched up and show no rust, tarnishing or other wear whatsoever.

This ultra-stylish and archetypally Mid-Century Modern "Scoop" chair is incredibly comfortable, structurally solid and ready for a lifetime more of use.
