About: This exquisite Danish-made executive desk, designed by the influential Arne Vodder for the lauded H.P. Hansen Furniture Co, has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration process. The stance of this desk is absolute perfection in every way, from the upward curving wings at each end of the top to the trim linear pulls on its drawers and full-height legs that sit outside of the main body - all replete with outstanding variegated teak woodgrains that are truly mesmerizing in natural light.
This elegantly designed desk has four dovetailed drawers, one of which is configured for hanging files. A hidden shelf is positioned just below the desk top - a great place to store a laptop or keyboard. Perfect in both home or office settings this desk is sure to make a BOLD impression in any space it inhabits.
*Note, the curved wings add an additional inch in height from the workspace portion of the desk which sits at a height of 28".
Arne Vodder, born in 1926 in Denmark, was a prominent furniture designer known for his simple, yet elegant pieces made from natural materials such as teak and rosewood. A student of the legendary Finn Juhl at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Vodder opened his own studio with architect Anton Borg in 1950. His work is characterized by organic forms and minimalistic designs, which gained international recognition in the 1950s and 1960s. Vodder's furniture has graced prestigious locations including the White House and numerous embassies worldwide.
With very few of these visually arresting wing-tipped executive desks available for sale in North America, when this one's gone, it's gone forever. Make it yours and transform your workspace today.

All four drawers open and close with ease and the hidden fixed shelf is structurally sound and weight-bearing. Some drawers show minor veneer repairs which, though subtle, can be seen in the photos provided.
