Norwegian-born architect and designer Ingmar Relling is known as one of Norway’s most internationally recognized and revered designers and is considered a major player in the Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design movement. In 1965, Relling, in collaboration with his son Knut Relling, designed the Siesta Chair winning him first prize by the Industry Council for Furniture that same year. Relling was passionate about creating furniture that was ergonomic and eco-friendly, ensuring that his pieces were constructed in way that could be repaired.

Condition Details: This architecturally stunning chair designed by the Ingmar Relling for Westnofa is in 100% original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The bentwood frame, made of beech, is in amazingly excellent original condition showing only mild surface scratches too fine to be picked up by our cameras. There are no gouges stains or other damage present whatsoever. The leather is in stunning lightly patained condition showing some discoloration and other wear associated with a once loved and utilized piece but showing no rips, odors or other damage whatsoever.
This splendid Scandinavian lounge chair is incredibly comfortable, structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use.
